The vision is a pristine planet. The strategy is parish by parish.
What you do
You are a town or parish council
You invite residents to a get-together where we will present the #PristineParish Program.
You pay for program management at year end, but only if at least 50% of the patrols have been done.
What we do
We are Eden HQ
We provide grabbers and hi-vis vests at cost price and set up and manage twice-weekly patrols of your entire parish.
We encourage compliance of 70% or more so that we can fund expansion by issuing #PristinePlanet Credits.
What’s the outcome?
Your parish stops polluting rivers.
The twice-weekly pikking means that zero rubbish flows from your parish into the streams, rivers and seas.
Your parish remains pristine forever.
Relax knowing that your parish is a liveable environment and, as people acclimatise, will be so forever.
There’s a spring in people’s step.
Given the main topic in an MP's postbag is litter, there's definitely a new positivity to he heard in neighbourly chats.
Neighbouring parishes TAKE your leAD.
You will enjoy the fruits of neighbouring parishes’ efforts as the word and the #pristineparish program spreads.
Passers-by spread the word
Smiles from passers-by means you’re having an impact that has every chance of being adopted elsewhere.
your beach will be a tad cleaner
The funds earned enable us to work together towards a pristine planet, which means cleaner beaches.
Clean parishes mean cleaner beaches.
Volunteers enjoy combining exercise with community service.
Through their patrols they generate the funds we need to manage their parish and enrol and equip other parishes.
Highly recommend this volunteering role. It gets us out and about and talking to people in the village.
Sarah C
Cannot recommend this highly enough. Exercise, community service and environmental improvement.
Glenn B
I too highly recommend volunteering for this role, good for those completing their D of E too. It’s very rewarding and a chance to enjoy the seasons.
Ruthie J
Being on my parish rota is like having a personal trainer turn up every week to make me exercise. No excuses. Just do it!
Gray E
We enjoy helping them do so.
We divide their parish into Walks (example below), each to be patrolled twice a week. We recruit and equip volunteers and provide the organisation and online systems needed to keep the show on the road year after year. This includes:
