Average Speed Signs

For villages with speed cameras

The signs below are for villages that have installed or are planning to install speed cameras.

They are designed to be used in conjunction with speed cameras that can log a vehicle’s speed past a camera as well as its average speed between two cameras, such as those sold by AutoSpeedWatch.

You may want to have the signs approved by your highways authority as well as your local constabulary who you will rely on to pursue offenders.

The signs are designed to be used in pairs: one sign for the left verge, one for the right verge.

Signs on the approach to a village

These signs are the first set that a driver will encounter as they approach a village and are designed to warn of what to expect on or beside the road outside the village.

#SS 001 - Left Verge

#SS 002 - Right Verge

Signs at the entrance to a village

These signs are the second set that a driver will encounter as they approach the built-up area and are designed to warn of what to expect on or beside the road within the village.

#SS 003 - Left Verge

#SS 004 - Right Verge

Each road into your village will require at least one set of signs and ideally both sets.

Specifications

The signs are:

Aluminium, 90cm x 30cm, Reflective White with Pole Fittings.

The model is 165cm tall.

They are set out like a newspaper column, proven to be quick and easy for the human eye to scan while less intrusive in that they do not protrude as much from the pole as would a sign in landscape format and in fact hide more of the unsightly pole.
