BOTTLES AND CANS KILL SMALL ANIMALS

30 Nov 2018 Found on Leasow Lane, which connects Great Rissington with Rissington Road. There are two dead mice in the bottle.

Text from Police.png

The above text was sent confirming that a call earlier that day to Stow Police was being actioned. The day before, a McDonalds bag had been spotted, opposite the entrance to Bobble Barn, containing an empty Coke can, the wrappings from a McNugget Meal and the receipt.

If the meal was bought at a drive-thru, the culprit was as good as in the bag too. A call to the number on the receipt was met with immediate readiness to assist. Armed with the details from the receipt they confirmed they had the vehicle registration number on their system.

A call to Stow Police ensued and the next day, 29 November 2018, a Police Community Support Officer left a voicemail:

“Just following up to let you know that I’ve tracked down the driver who dropped the fast-food wrapping in Little Rissington. I have found out that it’s a company vehicle… so the director of the company is going to have a sit-down talk with the driver of the car to make sure they don’t do it again and hopefully that issue is sorted for you, and… yeah… have a very good day.”
